Vic Lippa has held a variety of employment positions in Aerospace and Defense. As Manager, Radars and Ship Systems QC with Raytheon Company Vic worked closely with the Naval Sea Systems command in the development, production and test of the AEGIS system for the Navy’s guided missile frigates; holding security clearances there. His experience also covered the manufacturing of some two dozen long-range radar, military communications, sonar, fire control and fire control point defense systems including Sea Sparrow, SPS-49, Tartar D, and AEGIS; as well as a myriad of special projects involving nuclear hardening of fleet electronic systems, air to air missile development, fleet restorations and upgrades, etc. His previous employment experience in A & D includes General Dynamics, working on military and commercial communications systems. In his consulting career Vic has worked with a long list of major A & D firms including Pratt and Whitney, Meggitt Aerospace, AVICA Aerospace, General Connectors, Rolls Royce, PaR Systems, Atlantic Research Corporation, Colt Firearms, Gould Inc., Sikorsky, Avco Aerostructures, Stewart and Stevenson, General Electric, Parker Hannifin and Avco Lycoming.
Vic is a US citizen, residing in Sarasota Florida, and his education includes a Master’s and PhD in Business Administration. Vic holds a fellow level certification [CFPIM] from the American Production and Inventory Control Society. He is licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard as a U.S. Merchant Marine officer [OUPV].
